How Nutro is established? |
Before Nutro had its name, it was a British owned dog food company. It was John Saleen who brought about the birth of Nutro Products when he acquired the company in 1926. After renaming the company as Nutro Products, he moved the company operation to Southern California with the idea of tapping into the Southwest market. Through the production of good quality dog food, Nutro managed to capture a good market share.
Nutro functioned as a family-owned business for three decades. In 1976, a visionary brought over Nutro with a mission to lead Nutro into a larger market where it would compete with larger and well-established brands in the market.
Through heavy research and improvement, a quality premium Nutro dog food product was formulated and introduced into the market. It took 10 years to fulfill the mission of developing this improved and quality the dog food to compete with the larger brands.
Being confident of their formulation of healthy lamb, chicken and rice to product top-notch Nutro dog food, Nutro wrote pamphlets and brochures to make claim and challenge those other premium foods that Nutro dog food was best in the market.
