Eukanuba is a name brand of dog food introduced by Iams Company in 1969. During that time, no one pays any attention to Eukanubu. Besides being a new product in the market, the use of chicken parts in dry dog food was not heard by most people. By formulating chicken parts in dry dog food, Eukanuba dog food provided 16% fat and 25% protein level that far outperformed the typical level of 7% and 11% respective levels. This is due to the fact that Eukanuba dog food sold at a high price; about three times the price of its competitors.
